Likely the most underrated of the original core outfits associated with shoegaze (although, to be fair, their trademark smoky sound was more of a British response to grunge), Swervedriver, is coming back in full swing. Following a series of mini-tours conducted since 2009 and a single three years later, called “Deep Wound,” the band has just announced their first proper LP in 17 years.
I Was Born to Lose You will be hitting the shelves on March 3 thanks to Cobraside Distribution. Today, Swervedriver shared another fragment of the album, jammy and wistful “Setting Sun”. Listen to it below, then check out the group’s upcoming tour schedule AND refresh your memory of one of their classic, early-90s hits.
