All Tomorrow's Parties Documentary Trailer

The folks at All Tomorrow's Parties and Warp Films have gone ahead and made a moving picture documenting the festival experience. From the trailer's short running time and quick cuts, it seems like they want us to think that the flick is a tale of tomfoolery and mischief, a la Justice's A Cross the Universe. Hopefully that's not false advertising, as there's nothing more interesting than seeing your idols with their asses out.

The doc, which uses footage generated entirely by fans and artists, premieres June 24 at Edinburgh Film Festival and features Sonic Youth, Grizzly Bear, Belle and Sebastian, Battles, Portishead, Grinderman, Daniel Johnston, Animal Collective, David Cross, Les Savy Fav, Mogwai, Slint, The Dirty Three, The Boredoms, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, GZA, Iggy and the Stooges, Fuck Buttons, A Hack and a Hacksaw, Saul Williams, Akron/Family, Patti Smith, Lightning Bolt, and The Mars Volta.
