From the ashes of the greatness that was Grandaddy now arises All Smiles, a band built primarily around Grandaddy guitarist Jim Fairchild. All Smiles will release its debut album, Ten Readings of a Warning, on rising L.A. label (big boosts coming from the continued catching-on of Silversun Pickups) Dangerbird Records. Joining Fairchild on Ten are Janet Weiss (who isn't she playing with these days?) and musicians who have played with the likes of Modest Mouse, Menomena, and Black Heart Procession. All Smiles will have a March residency at Schuba's, will also that month hop down to SXSW, and in April they have dates supporting the Decemberists in Atlanta and Nashville.
