Alex Kapranos Complains About Album Leaks

As McDonald's knows all too well, Alex Kapranos is not one to mince words. Now, Franz Ferdinand's mouthpiece is venting to BBC 6 Music about album leaks, blaming a cameraman from a show FF did with Arcade Fire for distributing one of the band's albums (which was watermarked) online.

According to Spinner, Kapranos confronted the cameraman and threatened to take away his $30,000 payday for filming the Franz Ferdinand/Arcade Fire gig. Regarding the spat, Kapranos says,  "We gave you this record, we trusted you, you were working with us, we thought we had a good thing going on here. And he turned round and said, 'I don't believe in capitalism.' You don't believe in capitalism? Well, I won't pay you the £20,000 ($30,000) you got for doing the filming, you w-----.'" We can only assume that last word was "wanker."

Kapranos, seen to the left rocking the Bieber, says this regarding leaks in general: "I don't like it. The people who leak it don't actually give a damn. It's purely to be the guy that did it. 'I want to be the guy that leaked the Arctic Monkeys.'"
