Album's Worth of Elliott Smith Demos Leaked

Elliott Smith fans jonesing for some new material may be in luck. Rawkblog have apparently gotten their hands on an album's worth of leaked, unreleased Elliott Smith demo tracks from From a Basement on the Hill. They are currently available in a zipfile on the Rawkblog site.

The tracks have that gritty and raw sound that demos should arguably have, and include a cover of the Beatles song, "I'll Be Back."

There is seemingly little word available from Smith's people.

I keep seeing this everywhere as if its new. This has been out for a while and the reason it's not all over the place is because his family has asked that it not be spread. I think the music should be heard, but it's not really my call.

Yeah, these have been around for years, not too new

These have not been around for forever, unless you are in Elliott's circle.
