Air playing in China, Latvia, and Israel on Close Up Tour

The luxuriant pop of French duo Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel (a.k.a Air) is set to reach some unusual climes toward the end of this year. Air’s promotional duties for 2007 album Pocket Symphony come to a close with dates in Romania, China, Israel, and Latvia, on what they’ve deemed the “Close Up Tour.”

The band’s most recent release was a revamped version of its classic Moon Safari album, which comes complete with a DVD documentary directed by Mike Mills (Thumbsucker). According to these charts, Moon Safari has a stronghold on the hearts of Air fans, with “All I Need” and “Sexy Boy” hitting the top two spots in the Top Tracks rundown. Here are the full Close Up Tour dates. [Pitchfork]
