Bloggers: not just for sitting around on their couches and getting snarky about music anymore. Sometimes they actually get off their duffs and facilitate ways for people to hear the bands they champion. Case in point: the inaugural After the Jump Festival, going down at New York City's Studio B on August 25. Amongst the acts set to play the fest are Spectrum (the current project of ex-Spacemen 3 member Sonic Boom, pictured), Ra Ra Riot, Golem, Locksley, Free Blood (a band that features members of !!!), and Teenage Prayers.
