Aesop Rock, Kimya Dawson & Others Are Geniusis, Offer Free Holiday LP
I know I wrote about it yesterday in my post for the Dam-Funk Christmas song, "Tis The Season," but it really seems like every damned artist out there is putting out a holiday-themed project. If it's not the Odd Future kids, it's Bradford Cox, or Wavves and Best Coast, or Busdriver, or this collection of artists calling themselves Geniusis. The crew consists of Aesop Rock, Kimya Dawson, Johnny Druelinger, Jason Carmer and Quinn Tuffinuff. They have come together with Important Records to create Holiday Rampage, a 23-track album made to benefit the Stonewall Youth Center.
