Aesop Rock Finished With Next LP, ‘Skelethon’

Rapper/producer Aesop Rock has finished recording his first solo album in about five years. Skelethon, the follow-up to 2007’s None Shall Pass, “will be out this year,” according to a Tweet from Aes. He also revealed that a duo called The Uncluded, with past-collaborator Kimya Dawson, will release an album titled Hokey Fright this year as well. Somewhat recently, we reported that Aesop co-produced Metal Moon, the debut LP from Dirty Ghosts, a band fronted by wife Allyson Baker, which will be out Feb. 21. He’s written on both Twitter and his website that mixing started today with Joey Raia, and he has Tweeted a few pictures related to the Skelethon release, one of which you see here. Should be a welcoming year for Aes, whose more recent work has focused on production, a number of features, and a group album as Hail Mary Mallon. [P4K]
