Aeroplane Enlists Au Revoir Simone, Soulwax, Bertrand Burgalat for Album

One of my absolute favorite tracks from 2008 is Belgian DJ Duo Aeroplane's rework of Friendly Fires' "Paris" with Au Revoir Simone. Anyone else who loved that track will undoubtedly be pleased to know that more like it could very well be on the way. Au Revoir Simone member Heather D'Angelo posted the above video to her Vimeo account, showing the Brooklyn trio working in the studio with Aeroplane, Soulwax, and producer Bertrand Burgalat (Air, April March), on Aeroplane's upcoming album.

Details beyond that don't seem to be available at this time, but that should be enough to get your fingers drumming on the desk in anticipation.

[Ohh! Crapp]

yay! this is very, very good news ... the "caramellas" track floating around is v. promising, plus their remix of sebastien tellier's "kilometer" *might* be even better than their "paris" remix! if only they'd do some live dates over here soon ...
