It's a story that has been repeated over and over this year, but here it is again: Adele's 21, for the 12th non-consecutive week, is the number one album in the U.S., after it moved 77,000 copies this past week. That brings Adele's total sales up to 2.9 million, a number that is going to be hard to beat for any other album this year, even Jay and Kanye's Watch the Throne, which will undoubtedly top Billboard next week (with sales projected to be at least 500,000).
