Adele--Grammy winner, record smasher...doctor? Spinner reports that Charlotte Neve suffered a brain hemorrhage on April 13 and fell into a coma soon after arriving at a hospital in Leeds, UK. Doctors informed her mother, Leila, that she would probably not survive.
A week later, Adele's massive hit "Rolling In The Deep" came on the radio. Recalling her daughter's fondness for the song, Leila started to sing along, and to her amazement, Charlotte smiled.
"Charlotte started smiling, and I couldn't believe it," Leila told the London newspaper the Telegraph. "It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again. The nurses said it was like I 'unlocked her' and from that day she started getting better and better."
Charlotte is now recovering at home, where she is learning how to walk and talk again. As for Adele, it seems she just can't do any wrong, though no word yet if "Someone Like You" has led to world peace.
