Adele Set To Record Country And Bluegrass Songs On Third Album

In case you've been ignoring her, Adele is the biggest star in music right now, selling close to three million copies of her sophomore album, 21. As they are wont to do, the Sun has already started to ask her about her third album, which will be a huge blockbuster too, probably. Adele is claiming that her new album will have a heavy country and bluegrass influence, since she's toured the American south, and she wants to record her new album there to listen/record more country and bluegrass material. 

I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I'm going be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.

If she actually ends up doing a country album, it could have huge crossover potential. Can you imagine what would happen if Adele starts dominating the country charts too? [via NME]
