Adele Releasing New Music This Year

Despite rumors and out-of-context quotes, Adele made it clear that she is not taking any extended time off from recording. In fact, she went one step further in a recent interview with French radio station NRJ to announce that we'll be hearing a new song from the chart-dominating Brit this year:

"There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year. But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs."

As for a proper follow-up to 21, she said that won't be here for another two years. Why? "I have to write it! It takes a while." Fair enough. [NME]
