The initial lineup for the inaugural incarnation of the New York ATP festival was already impressive. But the impossible has happened, and the festival has actually gotten even better. My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., Mogwai, Polvo, Shellac, Yo La Tengo, and Mercury Rev have all long been confirmed. But now ATP regulars Lightning Bolt, brawlers the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and haircut specialists Les Savy Fav have been added to the bill.

And that’s not all. ATP has struck up a deal with the Criterion Collection to show films at the festival, and has set up a games room that may present you with a chance to test your poker skills against Steve Albini. Other additions includes Patton Osawld, who will be presenting a comedy night, and Bardo Pond, who will be performing their album Lapsed as part of the Don’t Look Back series.
