Last week, reports went around that said that American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert was joining Queen full-time, replacing deceased singer Freddie Mercury, and recent frontman Paul Rodgers, and that the band was planning to tour. It was news that sort of made sense--Lambert had played with Queen on Idol, and has done a few performances with them since--but it would still be weird.
However, it turns out that isn't happening, at least not yet. Lambert was quoted in a story saying he could never hope to replace Mercury, but it turns out those quotes were about the European Music Awards, not about a reunion tour. For now, there's no Queen reunion with Lambert. [NME]
