Going a little further to promote the idea that all famous people really do know each other, Patrick Wolf has announced that Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Burn After Reading star Tilda Swinton will appear on his forthcoming double-LP Battle. Apparently Wolf slipped Swinton a CD and a handwritten note, and the actress decided to come aboard. Does Swinton sing? Negative, she's going to be the "voice of hope" on the record. On her role in the recording, Swinton said
"My feeling is that we all but certainly come from the same planet: kith and kin. His music sounds like the great unexpressed soundtrack of a great film I want to see - and try to catch every night before I go to sleep. It's a lovely thing to be part of that magical landscape."
Magical indeed. If you want to support the release of Patrick Wolf's album, you can head over to Bandstocks, and listen to a seven-minute mix of the project, which includes some of Swinton's work.
