Activision Announces <i>Band Hero</i>, Adam Levine Avatar

The main weakness of the Guitar Hero franchise compared to the Rock Band series is that Guitar Hero is still a single-player-focused game, with very few tracks that inspire enthusiastic group playing (minus Michael Jackson's "Beat It" on Guitar Hero World Tour, of course). Activision has barely tried to directly compete with Harmonix (the company that makes Rock Band), apart from putting out hardly though-out drums. That is until now, as they have announced Band Hero, their excitingly titled answer to Rock Band that features a more pop-leaning soundtrack and avatars of Adam Levine (omigod!!!!!!!!!!!) and Taylor Swfit.
