Activision Announces Full Guitar Hero 5 Track List

After weeks of speculation, and an impending release date (September 1), Activision has finally announced the complete track list for Guitar Hero 5. There's a lot of big songs included on the list--including the seemingly long-coming "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," Queen & David Bowie's "Under Pressure," and The Raconteurs "Steady As She Goes"--among many other songs.

If there's one thing that comes to mind with the track list it's Rock Band, since it seems like Activision is finally willing to acknowledge that populating a game with 40 tracks of guitar-based modern rock and heavy metal might limit their party-friendly options (although "Beat It" on Guitar Hero: World Tour was pretty awesome).

I'm very pleasantly surprised at the amount of 'indie jams' here. It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but all the GH players I know will be pleased.
