A Weather's 'Everyday Balloons' Out Today, Band To Tour This Spring

The stuff of fabulous dream pop  often spills like feathers out of a pillow, as with the songs of the Portland-based A Weather. Everyday Balloons, their second album, came out today. Spinner released the song “Third of Life” as their free MP3 of the day yesterday. Waking existential contemplations; the shadows of little birds on wood sheds; the crease of the pillow: thus contemplates the band, using hushed boy-girl harmonies and gentle instrumentals. Will A Weather entrance audiences this spring ... or put them to sleep?
