A dozen sick pitbulls removed from DMX's home in police raid

DMX dogsDMX's home in Cave Creek, Arizona, was raided after someone tipped police about allegedly inhumane conditions in which the rapper was keeping his pitbulls. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told MTV News: "They weren't getting proper food, they weren't getting proper water, and they were tied outside in 115-degree heat." He added, "We are developing the investigation." Police will be investigating the rapper's possible connection to illegal dogfighting. A sizable weapons cache was also discovered in the raid and police are seeking additional warrants to determine if the guns are legal. DMX's attorney Stacey Richman is quick to blame the rapper's dog caretaker, stating, "The caretaker [DMX had hired] was only coming in once a day. Of course, that was not the arrangement."
This, of course, comes in the light of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick's admitting to the running of a dogfighting ring and the killing of several of his dogs. Also, if you can recall, back in 2002 DMX pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges stemming from a 1998 raid.
