9th Wonder Dropping ‘The Wonder Years’ In September

Over the years, producer (and sometimes rapper) 9th Wonder has dropped a slew of collaborative records, from those with his old group, Little Brother, to releases with Jean Grae, Buckshot, and Murs. But 9th has never really gotten a chance to release a proper solo debut. His previous two releases, a pair of Dream Merchant volumes, were more compilations than actual albums. In the meantime, his planned debut, The Wonder Years, has been delayed again and again.

That could all change this September, though, as it’s been revealed that the album has a firm release date. Maybe. If he does, expect to hear the following singers and rappers rocking over 9th beats: David Banner, Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Murs, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G, Big K.R.I.T, Marsha Ambrosius, Big Remo, Rapsody, and Phonte Coleman.

The Wonder Years is due out Sept. 27.
