50 Cent's New Album Almost Done

After dropping Before I Self Destruct in late 2009, we haven't heard much from 50 Cent aside from the slew of free tracks he released earlier this year. There is a good reason for that, though, as we all know he scrapped the rock/techno-influencedBlack Magic to create a record that he has called a return to his more aggressive days. We heard that aggression in those aforementioned free songs, but 50 kept sitting on any news surrounding when we would hear his fifth album.

That all (kind of) changed yesterday when he appeared on Ellen to perform with Nicole Scherzinger, like he did last week on American Idol. Apparently he is one song away from finishing his new album, which is being mixed now. He didn't say exactly when we would hear from him, though he hinted at us hearing new music this summer.
