Now that the release of Eminem's Relapse is imminent (May 19), the uninterested rap world turns back to 50 Cent, who announced that his long-forthcoming fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, which has had as many release dates as Gene Simmons has had semi-willing sexual partners, would be coming out soon after Em's. Back in March, 50 emphatically said he'd be releasing two albums this year, but now he's claiming in an MTV interview that he's almost completely scrapped the old version of Before, and it now features "70% new material." In the interview above, 50 also spends a bit of time propping up his directorial debut, which is the movie that will be included with every copy of Before I Self Destruct. 50 still leaves us hanging as to when Before will actually see store shelves, but I'm betting it'll be even later than expected.
