Even though "Lollipop" has been out since last March and has dominated most of the trunks rattling on streets for an entire summer, 50 Cent is finally getting around to complaining that Lil Wayne bit on his 2005 single "Candy Shop" for the "Pop"'s "lick lick lick" vocal hook. 50 was mum on whether he's also planning on complaining about D4L's 2006 hit "Laffy Taffy," since its central conceit also compares candy to, uh, candy. When he isn't citing confectionary differences with other rappers, 50 Cent is busy talking up his upcoming record, Before I Self-Destruct. “[Other rappers] can take what I’ve done for the last five years and do their version of it and be successful with momentum,” he tells the magazine. “Meanwhile, I have to reinvent the wheel.” [Rolling Stone]
