More than perhaps any other rapper, 50 Cent knows the Internet. He partied with Sexman last year, and now he's all about lip-dubbing with Keenan, aka the best YouTube video creator who makes a bunch of videos where he lip dubs songs and makes hilarious faces. I know you're thinking why is Patton Oswalt doing a song with 50, but trust me, this is a kid who is the best. 50 Cent knows the Internet, obviously, and he knows the perfect time to attach himself to a rising star. Moments like these make me re-evaluate 50. Maybe he is on some whole other plane of "getting it" that we don't even understand yet.
^^^ in a way I think you're kinda right. He definitely "gets it" in a way many rappers don't. You don't make his kind of money or have his kind of appeal without those skills. Then again, I also think he is genuinely crazy. Who shows up to your rival's mom's job and films her sleeping? All said, I probably enjoy 50 more now than I did when he first broke, not that his msuic is better, but I appreciate his G.
Somewhere in that Graduation/Curtis sales war, Kanye transferred some of his crazy to 50.
