Hip-hop out-sourced, 50 Cent to India
Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will play his first show in India on November 18 in Mumbai. He is scheduled to perform in the 15,000 capacity MMRDA Grounds. Well, it's not exactly Queen playing Wembley and you would have thought India's massive population density could afford a larger venue but why split hairs? Tickets are selling for between 600 and 1,000 rupees - which sounds like a lot but is actually about 15 to 25 dollars. Jackson's Indian debut continues of a trend of US services and industry being taken overseas. No word on whether Dell Computers will offer 50 Cent a job in their call center or if "A-Yo Technology" was, in fact, a secret ode to the thousands of Indians who now work in call center jobs. Next time your hard drive breaks you could just hit it with 50's "magic stick." I mean, if he can't fix it, homey it can't be fixed.
