After weeks of back and forth, Kanye and 50 Cent’s new albums finally go head to head this week. While many music fans state that they couldn’t care less, I do think their album sales will be a major indicator of where the music industry is and where it could be going. How will two of hip-hop’s biggest albums sell during a tough year for hip-hop sales? Also, a few years ago the idea that a rapper such as Kanye could even come close to outselling a street-cred rapper of 50’s stature was ludicrous. Times have changed. We’ll see how much this week.
Take a guess at where Curtis will end up on the charts along with the number of albums he will sell (the latter will be the tie-breaker). Winner gets the $20 gift certificate to Amazon. [more:]
