50 Cent Apologizes for Calling Kanye West/Lady Gaga Tour "Gay"

Did 50 Cent curse the Fame Kills tour? The hip-hop star gave an interview with New York radio station Hot 97 on Wednesday (Sept. 30), where he made disparaging remarks about the Kanye West/Lady Gaga jaunt. 50 Cent allegedly called it “the gay tour” during the interview, and has now apologized for his remarks.

“When I referred to the Lady GaGa tour as 'the gay tour,' I was basically repeating what I thought she had referred to the tour in the past," he said. "It was not my intention to offend anyone. I don't have a problem with anyone's lifestyle and have no issue with Lady Gaga. She makes great music."

He claims that his remarks were taken “entirely out of context” in the aftermath of the interview. 50 Cent also made several other comments about West, saying he is “cool with the gay folk” and that he’s “conscious of the gay community and wants them to buy his CDs."  The Fame Kills tour was dramatically canceled yesterday (Oct. 1).
