2NE1 Becomes First K-Pop Girl Group On Billboard's Box Score

The K-pop don't stop y'all. YG Entertainment has been making a killing with their artists PSY, G-Dragon and 2NE1. If you haven't read the news, PSY had signed with Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun. PSY will now have interesting things in the works with Schoolboy Records owned by Braun. G-Dragon produced a "perfect all-kill" on the South Korea charts

But now, it has also been reported that 2NE1 has become the first South Korean girl group to make it into Billboard's current Box Score charts at #29.

On August 24, 2012 the group performed at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles as part of their 'New Evolution' tour. Out of the 6,714 available tickets, they sold 6,680. The total gross was $653,716. This puts them next to mega giant artists such as Madonna, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Linkin Park and Jack White. Look at the charts here.

Now in Japan, the group will continue to be performing dates that are part of their 'New Evolution' world tour. There haven't been any confirmations yet, but there has been talk about an English single and possibly having an all English album in the works being produced by fellow pop star will.i.am.
