Woot. Being paranoid types, we didn't want to bring this up until officially securing a press pass and hotel room, but Prefix is live on the ground in Vegas for the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show. All it took was boarding the geekiest flight ever from San Francisco to Vegas and passing off inkjet-printed business cards as professional and we got a press pass and a Toshiba backpack (which would have been much cooler had there been an HD-DVD player inside). Expect a look at the latest prototype products from the iRiver labs and plenty of other coverage on MP3 players, car stereo decks and other music lifestyle products, unless this tech reporter runs a gang of sixes on the craps table and retires from public life.
What kind of hotel is the Prefix putting you up in?Are we talking Motel 8 or did they put you up in some luxurious place like the Ritz Carlton?
Yung Daba
Eastern tower of Imperial Palace, which is actually the first place I ever stayed at Vegas. Right on the strip and featuring celebrity impersonator keno callers or something. I'm pretty sure the bed is harder than the floor.
Eric Solomon
Sounds like the Ritz-Carlton. Very classy of the Prefix.
Dave Park
Hope they're just as classy when they get the bill for the mini-bar and hotel pr0n!
