1995 Kids Want You To Say "YES!" To The Internet (Video)

Who knew Helena, Montana was such a connected town in 1995? Here's a PSA apparently produced by fifth graders urging kids to start using the Internet. In addition to some pretty classic production value, the one-minute clip is filled with a ton of creepily accurate prophecies about how the Internet will replace the "telephone, television, shopping center, and workplace." Eek. The whole thing's a little too close for comfort.

The clip even foreshadows the coming of an infinite amount of cat memes with a quip about "finding a recipe for cat food cupcakes." These fifth graders definitely have a better grasp on the future than that time The Today Show  tried to nail down exactly what the Internet was on-air, and failed pretty badly. [Gizmodo via The Verge]
