10-year-old totally shreds on guitar, plays “Smells Like Teen Spirit” (Video)

At first, I wasn’t really impressed with this video of Sungha Jung, a 10-year-old guitar prodigy, playing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” because I played guitar for like four months when I was 16, and could make it through the Nirvana standard (in fact, it was the only song I ever learned how to play). But then the kid actually started playing on his reverb-assisted acoustic electric, and made me feel pretty lame—this kid can really play. It’s the second time Jung has turned his sights on Nirvana, and this older video shows how much the kid has progressed in just a year. [Videogum]

Are Korean parents getting away from the straight bowl cuts? This was pretty cool. Sungha Jung now has an artist page.
