Public Image Ltd. on American Bandstand (Video)

Some days, the YouTube can be the worst. But then it redeems itself when things like this surface: Back in 1980, Public Image Ltd., John Lydon's post-Sex Pistols (and far superior) band, appeared on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, performing singles from their seminal second album, Metal Box, and mocking the contrivance of having to lipsync by inviting the entire crowd onstage to dance uncomfortably while Lydon prods them. There's some LOL moments when Clark tries to interview the band and says, "Wobble, nice to have you here" to Jah Wobble. Really entertaining stuff. {New Yorker via Daily Swarm]
