Melvins Attempt to Set World Record For Fastest Tour Of United States

Sludge metal band the Melvins will set off on tour in July in attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the fastest tour of the U.S. by a band.  Lead singer Buzz Osborne states, “51 shows in 50 states plus one 1 in D.C. and all in 51 days? Jeez! I wonder if we can do it?” If successful, this tour will mark the first time in Melvins’ nearly 30-year history that they played in Alaska, Hawaii, Delaware, and New Hampshire.  The touring ensemble will include the most recent lineup of Osborne, Dale Crover, and Trevor Dunn. The lastest Melvins EP The Bulls & the Bees was released in March for free.
