Zakee: Snakes (Video)
ZAKEE spent 2011 working hard and in the process mustered up some considerable buzz. The Philadephia-born songwriter/producer/singer made some Top 20 lists on the hipper world music circuits via OkayAfrica and MTVIggy with his debut LP Assimilations in addition to dropping a considerably intense remix of MIA's "Steppin Up."
In hopes of maintaining some steam, ZAKEE recently announced that he will be dropping two new EPs, with the first one, Love & Sacrifices, coming in February. To hold you over , he also just dropped a new video for his track "Snakes" off his debut LP. The video is full of pretty beach scenes and a mildly trippy kaleidoscope effect. It's a good companion to the percussion heavy track that is reminiscent of TV on the Radio's more ethreal offerings.
