Yuck: "Daughter"

With Reading and Leeds Festival appearances on their schedule, and shows with the likes of Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Modest Mouse upcoming, the profile of the Londoners in Yuck could soon be on the rise. They'll be putting out a four-song cassette entitled Weakend through Mirror Universe Tapes come August 2, the first track of which is a fatalistic piano-led track called "Daughter." Built on a circular, affecting keyboard riff and ornamented with female coos, the song slowly tides in, creating a beautiful, melancholy piece that lingers in your mind long after its over.
