Remember back in 2008, when it seemed like Young Dro was going to be some internet hype that would crossover to mainstream success, the kind of rapper that could get profiled in Fader, but also release street albums? That pretty much passed when Lil B came on the scene, but Dro is still doing well enough to hire a lot of women for this goofy video for "Polo Down," which features Dro chilling in his house with an army of assistants, and then hanging on the block in an outfit he borrowed from a 17-year-old golfer. I'm not really clear what "polo down" means, but Dro's main quirk at this point is his insistence on naming his mixtapes and albums after Polo, so i guess it just fits? I wonder how much of this guy's fade in popularity has to do with T.I. being locked up and unable to feature on any of Dro's songs.
P.O.L.O. is due out soon.
yeah i haven't been hearing much from Dro since T.I. got locked down. Thirstin Howl III was all about the Polo years ago. He called himself the Polo Rican. haha.
