What better way to celebrate the release of a new Yo La Tengo album than with a Takeaway Show? Vincent Moon shot the band performing a range of material, including a cover of the Troggs’ “With a Girl Like You" (which appeared on the Condo Fucks album) and “Our Way to Fall” from the And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out album.

A version of the instantly familiar “Sugarcube” is also included, and they promote the new Popular Songs album with versions of “Periodically Double or Triple” and “Nothing to Hide.” The clips are beautifully shot by Moon, who relies less on the gimmickry of yore, instead focusing on a straight-up band performance in a children’s playground.
