YelaWolf: "Hard White (Up In The Club)" F. Lil Jon

The promotional train behind Yelawolf's proper debut, Radioactive, has officially started here with the album's lead single, "Hard White (Up In The Club)." Produced by the Hydrox, it's the kind of minimalist banger driven by a lone vocal sample that has become increasingly popular these past few years. And as anyone who has heard these kinds of tracks is well aware -- we're talking Lil Wayne's "A Milli," Jay-Z's "On To The Next One," and so on -- it takes a certain kind of MC to make the track work. Luckily for Yela, he has all the charisma, wit, and straight-up rapping ability to ensure that "Hard White" is a success. Not only that, but he might be the only rapper in the past five years to obtain a listenable Lil Jon guest appearance.

You can stream "Hard White" below. The single drops Aug. 8 while Radioactive is due out Sept. 27.

Not sure if this going to get tons of radio play or anything like that, but he rips it as usual. Amazing though that Lil Jon is still doing basically the same type of thing for all these years and getting on big name tracks.

I think it's a lil' too lyrical/the hook isn't quite big enough for the radio, but Yela kills it.

1st verse is pretty tight, but this is waaaay below Yela's capability. I hope this is one of the worst songs off Radioactive. Prob. a good thing though- I don't want Radioactive to be too hyped up. It would be better if it sneaks up on people (a la Trunk Muzik...).

To see what I mean, lookup "Oh Yeah" (Mr. Finley Feat. Yelawolf). This "Hard White" song just doesn't do Yela's skills justice...

Hopin' for much better on Sept. 27th.

Good but....
