Yeah Yeah Yeahs: "Zero" (Live on Later With Jools Holland) (Video)

The Yeah Yeah Yeahsare appearing on Saturday Night Live this weekend (April 11), and they gave a taster of the It’s Blitz live sound on British television this week. The band are joined on keyboards by former Tortoise/Stereolab/Slint guitarist Dave Pajo for this performance (and all upcoming touring duties), which was recorded for the Later with Jools Holland TV show.

Karen O is dressed in one of her inimitable outfits for this performance of “Zero,” and Nick Zinner plays some neatly understated guitar lines. It’s a faithful performance of the song, although it’s odd to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in an anemic BBC studio, with a politely nodding audience making a derisory attempt to get into the song.
