Yeah Yeah Yeahs: "Heads Will Roll" (Live on Conan) (Video)

It’s been quite a summer for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who have spent part of their time filling in for the Beastie Boys after the New York hip-hop crew pulled out of several major festival appearances. They’re still on the road promoting the It’s Blitz! album, and turned up for an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Sept. 16).

The sound mix is decidedly uneven on this performance, with Karen O’s vocals sounding a touch too loud and the usually raucous musical backing falling a little flat. Clearly seeing them on a late night talk show isn’t ideal, and their forthcoming headline show at Radio City Music Hall alongside another group of hip-hop legends (ESG) remains a hot ticket.
