Bronx native YC The Cynic is currently putting together a new project,GNK, that will serve as his first effort since this past March's excellent Fall FWD. Although we won't be hearing GNK until this coming January, the quick-witted rapper wants us to be sure that he hasn't lost a bit of the fire that made Fall FWD such a success. As such, he's dropped this non-album cut "Hello, Newman!," a track that has little-to-nothing to do with Seinfeld aside from a few samples.
But that's not why you're here anyway. You're here for some brassy, raw production circa 1991 with the right kind of rhymes to match. YC flips biblical references, talks all sorts of shit, and shows off his liquid flow that made us fans of his work in the first place.
