Yacht recorded “Summer Song” last summer for DFA because he was upset that there wasn’t a definitive summer song for 2007. Considering the video for the track hasn’t seen the light of day until 2008 probably makes it clear “Summer Song” wasn’t it either, but this new hilarious video could amend the song for 2008.

The video takes on the mystique of music video production, as YACHT dance in front of a white screen that is doused in primary color paint and fireworks after negotiations from their manager with a smarmy video director at the beginning of the clip. The song ain’t bad either- it’s supposedly a love letter to LCD Soundsystem, and the song’s pulsing rhythm make that abundantly clear.
