Wyclef Jean: "Born A Shotta" (Video)

You can't get much more straightforward than this. The video for "Born A Shotta" features Wyclef Jean sitting, playing guitar, and crooning with a red overlay. Not exactly what one would call innovative or attention-grabbing. But it's a quick video at just under two minutes and it does make you pay attention to the music, which itself isn't too shabby. "Born A Shotta" appears on 'Clef's concept album From The Hut, To The Projects, To The Mansion that was released on Nov. 10 and features Timbaland, Eve, Lil' Kim, and Cyndi Lauper (as Luscious Loo Loo). The record tells a story of fictional character named Toussaint St. Jean, who is based on Haitian revolutionary Toussaint L'Ouverture. Jean has a self-titled album scheduled to drop in 2010.
