On September 18, New York folk-rockers will return with a new album titled Bend Beyond, out via their own label Woodsist. They've been following an album-per-year format for a several years now, but their quality hasn't dipped. If anything, they've gotten better with time.
That's certainly the case with "Cali In A Cup," the first taste off Bend Beyond. It's a bit higher fidelity than their past work, with the guitars and drums coming into better focus. From the harmonica to the harmonies, Woods seem to be in a more carefree mood, eschewing their psychedelic tendencies for a song that begs for a laid-back roadtrip or a barbeque on the beach. Take a listen below.
