North Carolina indie rockers The Rosebuds are gearing up to release their fifth record, Loud Planes Fly Low in June, their first since 2008’s Like Life and since lead singer Ivan Howard’s R&B collaboration with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Gayngs, in 2010. Earlier this year, the band released the groovy, ethereal “Second Bird of Paradise,” which previewed the more experimental, R&B direction promised for the new album. Now another mp3, “Woods,” has been released, and it’s a lot closer to the Rosebuds’ usual, driving indie-pop sound. Stream/download below. [Onethirtybpm]
