Up until recently, Virigina’s Eternal Summers traded in soft-spoken indie-pop, but they’re looking to change that. “Wonder” is taken from their upcoming record Correct Behavior, due July 24 on Kanine Records. The song shows off the trio’s brasher side. Lead singer Nicole Yun drops the whisper in favor of a throaty croon, and the guitars are much spikier.
In the video, Eternal Summers tackles that eternal theme in indie music: suburban anxiety. Weirdoes roam through a city, doing weird things and getting weird looks, but the music paints them as triumphant. Check it out below.
