Thanks to Pitchfork, there are two new tracks from Wolf Parade's upcoming third album, Expo 86 streaming directly below. The album, which now has a June 29 release date (via Sub Pop), is reportedly more synth-rock oriented, and that is certainly borne out with the first track below, the Dan Boeckner-led "Ghost Pressure," maybe the most ass-shaking track Wolf Parade have delivered to date. It sort of splits the prog-rock tendencies of At Mount Zoomer with the daring of Apologies to the Queen Mary. The second track, "What Did My Lover Say (It Always Had To Go This Way)" is led by Spencer Krug, and it's got a dinosaur rock riff with a Bowie-esque thrust. Two track judgement: Expo 86 iss going to be a good one.
