Members of Willie Nelson’s band were recently busted for (you guessed it) possessing marijuana, although it’s unlikely that the $25 payout affected them too badly. Nelson has canceled a few tour dates in the past week due to a torn rotator cuff, but he was well enough to show up for David Letterman’s show last night (May 5).
The singer has a new album out titled Country Music, which was recorded with T-Bone Burnett and is apparently the first bluegrass album Nelson has released. This version of “Freight Train Boogie” from the record offers a hint of its direction, with Nelson sounding in fine voice—check out some of the other versions of this much-covered staple below.
